Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse Re-Roof & Repairs Project

The Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District is seeking bids for the Community Clubhouse Re-Roof & Repairs Project.
The Work generally consists of :
Prepare an asbestos abatement plan and provide asbestos removal to legally remove identified asbestos containing materials as required by the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management district and other governing agencies.
Demolish and dispose of existing asphalt shingle roofing, flashings, roof equipment underlayment and fascia boards.
Repair or replacement of any damaged roof sheathing panels, and framing-in removed roof equipment openings.
Removing and replacing an undersized structural beam supporting roof rafters, including removal and replacement of existing wall finishes, painting walls, installing gypsum board and plastic wall protection sheets, installation of new posts and framing at walls, and removal/replacement and repair of suspended acoustical ceiling grids and acoustic panels.
Installation of new wood fascia boards to match existing
Installation of roofing underlayment.
Installation of stone-coated metal roofing system and flashings.

1. Activity Guide Design Services (click)

The Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District is seeking proposals for contracted activity guide design services. The District distributes an activity guide three times annually to promote seasonal programs, events and activities. Typical activity guides range from 28-32 pages. The current size of the activity guide is 8-3/8” x 10-7/8” (page sizes may be adjusted). Guides are currently printed in full color, are double sided and printed on gloss book paper. They are distributed by a printer to the United States Post Office – Fair Oaks Branch to approx. 17,000 homes.
For proposal submissions, please submit three (3) paper copies and one (1) electronic copy in PDF format, prior to and no later than, 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 to the address listed below.  No faxes shall be accepted. Hard and soft copy proposals received after 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 shall not be accepted.

Consultants may submit questions and comments to until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2017. The District will do its best to answer questions about the RFP as soon as possible. However, some questions may require input from District staff or other individuals, so your patience is appreciated. The District will submit answers to any outstanding questions no later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2017. All questions and answers will be posted on the District’s website ( It is the responsibility of the Consultant to check for any updated comments to the page.
