The Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District develops future parks and recreation leaders through its internship program. The purpose of the program is to gain a hands-on experience in key areas of the field and to encourage talented students within the area of Parks and Recreation.
We offer an educational experience that is beneficial to students seeking a career in the Parks and Recreation field. Internships are offered in the Spring, Summer and Fall of every year. For more detailed information please review the Internship Description.
Application Process In order to be considered for an internship with the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District, all candidates must submit the following items:
- Cover Letter
- Student Internship Program Details – from Students University
- Letter of Recommendation from Academic Advisor
- Completed Application by Deadline: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
- Once all application paperwork has been received, the Recreation Superintendent will contact applicant for an interview. Interviews are conducted in person at the FORPD office. Phone interviews are on a case-by-case basis.
