Program for Active Senior Adults (PASA)
ALWAYS ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS!! PASA is a fun and social organization for adults age 50 an up. Bi-weekly activities promote fun, friendship, continued learning, community involvement and wellness. Meet new friends, stay active and enrich your life. From Bingo and Raffles, to Guest Speakers and Potlucks, we have something fun at every meeting for senior adults and seniors in training!
Meetings are the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays from 11:00am-1:00pm. Occasional trips to Red Hawk Casino the 1st Wednesday of the month. Come check us out for a good time!
It is very easy to become a member of PASA. You are allowed to attend 3 meetings before having to pay dues. Dues at $10 per year. Meetings are held in the McMillan Center August – June (11549 Fair Oaks Blvd., Fair Oaks, CA 95628) and Village Hall June- July (7997 California Ave., Fair Oaks, CA 95628)
Zumba Gold is a dynamic dance fitness work out inspired by Latin and International rhythms. It is designed specifically for beginners, active adults and participants new to fitness. Safe and easy to follow, this one hour class will feature rhythms like merengue, cha-cha, salsa, tango, belly dance and more! Class is $28 ($23 res) for one day a month and is held on Mondays from 11:15am-12:15pm in the Community Clubhouse (7997 California Ave., Fair Oaks, Ca 95628)
Join us and have fun learning to paint with ink & oil on glass, as well as learn various techniques in this “family” atmosphere class. Use water color, acrylic, pencil, pastels and more! Class is $35 for 10 classes, and are held on Thursdays from 1:00pm-4:00pm in the Arts and Craft Building (7997 California Ave., Fair Oaks, Ca 95628 – next to Community Clubhouse)
A low impact exercise class specially designed for senior citizens taught by Sharon Shute. Improve muscular endurance and flexibility , as well as cardio-respiratory and aerobic fitness. Meet new friends, and feel more vibrant and healthy. Class is held Monday-Thursday from 9:35am-10:30am in the Community Clubhouse (7997 California Ave., Fair Oaks, Ca 95628 ). Class is $2.50 per class or purchase a punch card for $9 good for 4 classes.
Estate Planning: Wills, Trusts, and Probate
What is the difference between a will and a trust? What documents should be maintained as part of a basic estate plan? What are the benefits of estate planning? Julia will discuss the documents that everyone should have to transfer wealth from one generation to the next. Learn how you can minimize attorneys fees and taxes upon death. This class is appropriate for people from all walks of life. Fee: FREE (You must pre-register even though there is no fee). Medicare 101- Understanding Medicare and Medicare Supplements
Are you preparing to enter the world of Medicare or planning for retirement? Need to make a change? Overwhelmed by all the choices for Medicare plans? This class will provide information on what is and is not covered by Medicare Parts A, B and D. You will also learn about the role of supplemental insurance plans A-K, also known as “Medi-Gap”, Medicare Advantage Plans and proposed changes for 2015 and beyond.
