Our fully inclusive camp offers a wide variety of activities, extended programming, special events, field trips, arts and crafts, games, camp shirt and snacks at no extra cost. Our summer camp provides children with the opportunity to make friends, experience different activities, and discover new interests. Campers will have an opportunity to enjoy activities such as: fun and fitness, indoor and outdoor games, team sports, nature, crafts, storytelling, talent shows and supervised play sessions. CAMP LOCATION & TIME
Location: Fair Oaks Park – McMillan Center (11549 Fair Oaks Blvd. Fair Oaks, CA 95628)
Time: 9:00am-4:00pm (extended camp 7:30am-5:30pm)
$155 ($150 resident) per week/$175 ($170 resident) per week extended camp
Discounts: $10 sibling discount- this applies to multiple registrations for one week in the same family.
You must be 13 years or older to be in this program. It is an opportunity to gain valuable career skills and experience in working with youth. CIT’s will report to the Camp Director but be paired with experienced staff members. Space in the CIT program is limited (5 per week). Each camper must have a completed registration packet on file before their first day of camp. Registration packet includes: registration forms, participant agreement and field trip form. All forms can be found at the bottom of this page.

Payment for the first week of camp is due in full, which includes a $10 non refundable deposit. Subsequent weeks of camp may be held with a $10 non-refundable deposit per child, per week. Payment is due in full 7 days prior to the first day of that week of camp. If payment is not received within 5 days of the start of that week of camp the $10 deposit shall be forfeited and the camper’s space will be offered to someone else. REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Refunds & cancellations must be accompanied by a refund/transfer request. All refunds must be submitted 5 days prior to the start of the week of camp. If a refund is requested mid-week the amount of the refund will be less the daily rate of camp, based on the number of days elapsed, regardless of attendance and the processing fee. All refunds will be assessed a processing fee of 25% of the camp registration fee. These procedures have been implemented due to the advance payments we make to our vendors in the purchase of entry tickets, transportation usage, supplies and hiring staff.
CAMP FAIR OAKS STAFF
Beyond location, activities and marking materials, the most important aspect of any camp program are the counselors. You must feel comfortable with their ability to supervisor and care for your child. Always ask questions and continue to do so until your curiosity is satisfied. A parent’s intuition is a valuable asset.
The Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District’s Camp Fair Oaks encourages questions about the program, activities and staff. We are proud of the young adults we hire to conduct our camp activities. Throughout the hiring process, we are evaluating our needs and specific skills of each candidate. Each potential staff member is required to and extensive background check, including livescan. Most of our staff are over the age of 18. Just as any employer, we look for certain qualities in potential staff, including previous experience with children, adaptability, an outgoing and fun attitude, dependability, and trustworthiness. Upon hiring, all counselors undergo a training prior to the start of camp, including CPR and First aid. Most of our staff consists of college students with intended majors in the education, recreation and child development fields.
